Helicon Data LLC was founded in 2010 by Roy L. Reich, CEO, with the promise to bring enterprise class data storage and protection to the individual and SMB customer. Roy has spent over 15 years working in the IT field as a technician, administrator and consultant. "I have seen business suffer catastrophic hardware failures resulting in massive losses of data, in many cases there were no backups at all. In others the backups were on tapes that had never been tested resulting in unusable and worthless backups." Magnetic tapes served a purpose but technology has changes, it is now possible and feasible to have this data stored on easily accessible and verifiable hard drives onsite. With broadband internet service it is now possible to quickly and easily backup data offsite to ensure another level of protection along with peace of mind.
